Alpha hydroxy acid and beta hydoxy acids are simple fruit organic acids. Glycolic acid is most well known alpha hydroxy acids. This is found in sugar cane and sugar beets. The other well known alpha hydroxy acid is lactic acid found in milk products. Malic acid is also known fruit acid. Beta hydroxy acid has salicylic acid in this group. Alpha beta face peel is most commonly used home face peel procedure.
