Chemical Face Peel




It is well known that your facial skin cells become dead as you become older. This is a natural process. The face shows very clear signs of old age. This is because of the layer of the dead skin cells layer on your facial skin. If you can remove this dead cell layer, then lower young skin layer is exposed. This acid solution reacts with the skin layer and then the damaged or dead cells are peeled off. This will allow underlying new skin to regenerate and take the place of the old layer. The concentration of the chemical solution will depend upon the damage caused to the skin cells. The chemicals and their concentrations will depend upon the nature of the chemical face peel procedure that you will want to perform. It can affect superficial, medium or deep skin layers on your skin complexion.

The superficial chemical face peel procedures can be performed using alpha hydroxyl acids. The glycolic acid is example of this alpha hydroxyl acids used for superficial chemical peel procedure. As there are some side effects possible in this chemical, a new and better chemical as found out. Beta hydroxyl acids are the new better superficial chemical face peel procedure agents available in the market. Trichloroacetic acid is used for the medium chemical face peel procedures. And phenols are used for the deep chemical face peel procedures.

There are some side effects possible with any type of chemical face peel procedure and so it is necessary to undertake this under the dermatologist’s supervision.
