Free Bath Salt Recipes



One easy way to make a free bath salt recipe is to melt and pour soap with essential or nourishing oil with table salt. The proportion of each constituents of the bath soap depends on the melting procedures and brands of products used.

It is faster to melt the oil and soap together, after which you can add fragrance and salt. Using a mixture of salt especially Epsom, sea salt and dendrite salts and Baking soda.

An effective free bath salt recipes can be made by using three cups of dead sea salt, or Epsom salt, or you can use a blend of two or more salts but you have to take note than the blend of many salts can give granules which might not dissolve easily in a bath tub. To the salts, add about 25 drops of essential oils or essential oil blends, plus 1 or 2 tablespoon of fractionated coconut oil for moisturizing.

The mixing together starts by putting the salt blend in a bowl and add vegetable oil and mix well with a spoon or any other mixer. Add about 25 drops of essential oils and mix thoroughly once again. The mixture is then transfer to a container or salt tube with a tight fitting lid. If some color is needed, you can add liquid powder or mica oil, remember that this colorants should be added prior to the addition of essential oils. Add a drop of the mica oil or powdered oil in drops and stir very well after each drop. You should also note that excessive use of liquid powder or mica oil will discolor the bath water and the skin; hence they should be added in very small quantities. The skin colorations should not have adverse effects on the skin; they should not result in allergic reactions to your skin.

When you want to use your free bath salt recipes, add 1 cup of the bath salt to the running water which can be warm or cold. Mix thoroughly the mixture and ensure that the constituents are well dispersed before you enter the bath tub. You must note that it will be uncomfortable for you if you sit down on large chunks or granules of undissolved salts.

A thoroughly mixed and well arranged free bath salt recipe should be effective in improving the health of the skin of the user, must not spark any allergic reactions, and should not have a negative after-effect on the skin of the user.
