Intake Of Vitamin A



Vitamin A is an essential component for the growth of skin. Vitamin A helps in repairing the injured skin and improves dry scaly skin and makes the skin soft and plump. Other than dietary intake vitamin can also be topically applied to the skin and naturally absorbed. Vitamin A is also effective in the mitotic and metabolic stimulation of the skin that helps the skin to retain its youthful conditions. More over vitamin A stimulates the renewal process of the epidermal cells that causes thickening of the epidermis along with an increased collagen production and improved skin elasticity. Vitamin C is also very much important for the skin. One of its important functions is to heal the wounds and scar tissues. It is also an important in collagen synthesis and acts as a cementing substance between the cells of the skin.

How do the vitamins help?

However vitamin c vitamin C looses its potency very quickly which can make it worthless unless used immediately. Vitamin C is also found to oxidize very quickly when exposed to air and light. Vitamin d is also very important for the treatment of stretch marks. The most important function of vitamin A is to strengthen the tissues of the skin and increase the elasticity. Vitamin D in abundantly found in dairy products like milk and cheese. Another very important vitamin when trying to prevent stretch marks is vitamin E. Vitamin E is most beneficial as an anti-oxidant in preserving the health of skin tissue and membranes. It is also used to help the recovery process of post surgical scars. Vitamin E can be taken in two ways basically orally and topically. However the advantages of topical application of Vitamin E onto the stretch marks are yet to be discovered. Last but certainly not the least is the Vitamin B complex. B-complex is equally important in getting rid of those pesty stretch marks. B complex is by nature a healer. It helps in reducing the intensity of the marks and slowly diminishes their appearance. Vitamin B complex can be taken orally in the form of capsules.
