Walking Helps Reduce Stretch Marks

Causes

Stretch marks are a result of microtraumas of skin and cellular tissue. This cosmetic defect of skin appears because of elastic epidermis fibers damage. Elasticity and flexibility of skin reduce; it becomes so thin, that small blood vessel, situated in its facing, becomes visible by naked eye. Slight internal treats are filled with conjunctive tissue with time. Firstly, stretch marks are of violet-reddish color, and in further they become light pink or colorless. They are especially visible after sunburn, as conjunctive tissue contains no pigment. Well, it is very unpleasant to have a striped body, but you should not be afraid of stretch marks, they are not ugliness, neither illness. In a word, they do nothing bad. By the way, probability of their appearance is not so high; moreover, we can struggle with them.

Preventative measures

It is easier to prevent stretch marks, than struggle with them hard. The main principle, which forms complex of preventative measures, is support of skin elasticity, which depends on presence of necessary quantity of collagen and elastin in conjunctive tissue. This can be reached due to eutrophy, massage, usage of professional creams and gels, walking, exercising. Maintenance of stable weight is also very important, quick fluctuations contribute to appearance of stretch marks.

Walking

Walking daily for some time, regularly helps maintain your weight and keeps you fit. Increase or decrease in your weight causes stress to your body skin and forms stretch marks. A good long walk thus helps maintaining the weight and avoids the fluctuations. It helps maintaining elasticity and flexibility of the skin and thus helps preventing stretch marks. Moreover, a walk everyday helps you to remain healthy and fights all the illness that may attack you.
